P & D Northern Steels offer a variety of steel plate modification and testing services in partnership with our sister company, Advanced Metallurgical Services Ltd:
P & D Northern Steels Ltd also offer a variety of enhancement and cutting services to ensure that the products we offer are closely tailored to our customers' requirements.
We operate the biggest steel plate flattener in the UK, capable of flattening steel plate up to 65mm thick and 4000 metres wide or up to 2500 metres wide and 100mm thick. We are currently commissioning a second flattener, capable of flattening steel plate up to 180mm thick and 1950 metres wide.
We offer a free of charge cutting service, helping our customers to avoid having surplus expensive material left in stock, whether it's for economical reasons or just for handling purposes. Our services are all designed to ensure our products reach our customers doors efficiently, are available on a 'just in time' basis and are ready for immediate use.
Through our associated company (AMS), who operate an independent UKAS approved test laboratory, products can be DNV, Lloyds or otherwise third party stamped and approved.
Ultrasonic testing, shot blasting and primer painting options are available on request at the time of order.
