Our History
P & D Northern Steels is a family owned and run company which has been offering quality plates and service into the UK market place for over 35 years. The company was started in March 1972 by its Chairman and Managing Director, Peter Martin, and the company moved to its current 13 acre site in March 1976.
The operational use of the current site is a 4000 sq ft, two storey office building overlooking a 5 acre storage facility, from where the company's 4000 MT of stock is distributed.
The company has a strong tradition of supplying steel plate into all genres of the UK market, including structural, machinery and mining sectors and also to profilers, fabricators and engineers of all different types.
In cooperation with its associate Company AMS, it is able to offer 3.1 test certification for all its products both prime and non prime.
